At SynapseChat, we deal exclusively in intangible digital goods (software access, license keys, and advertising slots). Because these digital services are activated and consumed immediately upon purchase or redemption, we enforce a strict No Refund Policy, subject only to the specific performance guarantees outlined in Section 3.
Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase.
1. General Refund Policy (All Sales Final)
1.1. No Refunds: All purchases made through SynapseChat (including Server VIP Codes, User VIP Codes, and Advertising Slots) are final and non-refundable.
1.2. Immediate Consumability: You acknowledge that by purchasing a product, you are gaining immediate access to digital features. You expressly waive your right to a "cooling-off period" or withdrawal once the service has been delivered or the code has been viewed.
2. VIP Codes & License Keys
2.1. The "Redemption" Rule: VIP Access (for both Users and Servers) is delivered via unique alphanumeric License Codes.
Once Redeemed: The moment a VIP Code is redeemed (e.g., via the /redeem command), the digital good is considered "Consumed." Under no circumstances can a redeemed code be refunded, reversed, or transferred to another account.
Unredeemed Codes: While all sales are generally final, unredeemed codes may be eligible for a refund only in cases of proven duplicate purchase, at the sole discretion of Support.
2.2. User Responsibility:
Security: You are responsible for keeping your VIP Code safe. If you share your code and someone else redeems it, we cannot issue a replacement or a refund.
Selection Error: If you purchase the wrong type of code (e.g., buying a "User VIP" code when you wanted a "Server VIP" code) and redeem it, we cannot reverse the action or swap the subscription type.
3. Advertising Slots & Performance Guarantees
3.1. Schedule Commitment: When you purchase an Ad Slot, you are reserving time on our network within a rotation of up to 6 Active Ads. Generally, advertising purchases cannot be cancelled once the slot is booked.
3.2. Delivery Conditions: You acknowledge that Ad delivery is conditional on network activity. Our system strictly enforces a 10-Message Minimum threshold between ads to prevent spam.
3.3. The "Minimum Impression Guarantee": While total ad performance fluctuates based on chat volume, we provide the following Performance Guarantee:
The Guarantee: We guarantee that your advertisement will be successfully posted (impressed) to the network a minimum of 3 times per week (Will increase as we grow) during your campaign.
Failure to Deliver: If our internal analytics show that your ad received fewer than 3 impressions in a 7-day period due to low network activity or rotation issues, you are eligible for a Partial Refund.
Refund Calculation: The partial refund will be calculated on a pro-rated basis, proportional to the missed impressions below the guaranteed threshold.
3.4. Forfeiture for Violation: If your Ad is removed or your account is banned due to a violation of our Terms of Service (e.g., promoting scams, malware, or NSFW content), this Guarantee is void, and you forfeit your entire payment. No refund will be issued regardless of impression counts.
4. Termination of Service
4.1. Ban = No Refund: If your User Account or Discord Server is banned from the SynapseChat network for violating our Terms of Service (e.g., hate speech, unauthorized advertising, raiding), all active subscriptions and VIP Codes are immediately voided. You are not entitled to a refund for any remaining time.
5. Technical Issues & Exceptions
5.1. Non-Delivery: A refund may be considered, at our sole discretion, ONLY if a technical error on our end prevented the delivery of the purchased code (e.g., you paid, but the system never sent the email/key).
5.2. Downtime: Occasional service downtime for maintenance is normal. We do not issue refunds for temporary service interruptions unless the Service is offline for more than 72 consecutive hours.
6. Chargebacks & Disputes
6.1. Zero Tolerance: We have a zero-tolerance policy for fraudulent chargebacks.
6.2. Consequences: If you open a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or payment processor (PayPal, etc.) without contacting our Support Team first:
Your SynapseChat account will be permanently blacklisted.
Your Discord Server (if applicable) will be blacklisted.
Your Discord ID and evidence of the fraud may be reported to global ban lists and shared anti-fraud databases.
6.3. Resolution: To restore access after a chargeback, you must repay the disputed amount plus a $20.00 CAD Administrative Penalty Fee to cover our dispute costs.
